I am writing this while on a tour bus, a bit bumpy but we will see how it goes :)
We arrived in New York on Wednesday arvo after our flight from Denver via Chicago. We were held up in Chicago for an hour - due to airport traffic in New York. We had to sit in the plane on the tarmac in Chicago.
When we arrived in New York we caught the Super Shuttle to the motel - WOW, traffic in New York! But this guy was amazing weaving in and out of traffic. We just glad that someone else was doing the driving.
We checked in to the motel and met the tour director - Larry, who explained the tour details to us and answered all our questions.
Then we decided to walk to the Empire State Building. it was a 10 minute walk, but it was a little daunting as it was very dirty and people everywhere. The weather wasn't that great either, very muggy and overcast.
We got to the building and payed for our tickets for the elevator ride to the 86th floor as well as the 102nd floor.
Of course the higher we climbed the cloud got closer, so the photo's aren't that great but we still had to take some!

102nd Floor |
We have a few extra days in New York at the end of our tour so hopefully the weather will be better.
This was in the elevator. 102nd Floor was 1250ft above sea level! |
On the way back to the motel in poured rain and we got absolutely drenched! We had to do some washing as we left the next morning for Niagara Falls Canada.
Well thats all for bye,
Dave & Shell
