Belated Update

Hi all,

Sorry it has taken so long to update our blog but life has been pretty hectic.

Firstly about our trip to the Gold Coast, we had a wonderful time. It was a real fun filled week. Daracula's was definately a highlight for us, if any of you get the chance to go there - then do it you will love it. we also went to: Dreamworld, Seaworld, Movieworld as well as the Outback Spectacular. on top of this we had friends visit us. Peter & Glynis came down from Brisbane and Greg & Fran came up from Bangalow. So as you can see we fitted a hell of a lot into our week.

Then it was back to Darwin to pack up the van, which we did in 2 days! We left Darwin on friday November 28th only traveling to Katherine the first day as we were right out of practice of setting up and packing up because we had been set up in Darwin for 18 months.

Then onto Kunnanurra, fitzroy crossing, Eighty Mile Beach - which was absolutely beautiful. we even got to watch turtles coming up to the beach to lay their eggs:)

Then down to Newman, Dalwallinu and finally Perth. 7 Days to get from Darwin to Perth towing a caravan not bad hey!

We stayed in Perth for 2 days as we had to get a new battery for the car and Dave had to go to the HWE office to get some info on his new position. So then it was onto Mandurah on Friday, we set up at the Top Tourist caravan park. On Saturday we caught up with our 2 daughters Bec and Teigan and on Sunday I drove Dave to the airport to start his new job - it all happened so fast!

The next week the tenants moved out of our house - what a mess! I spent the next 2 weeks cleaning, puttying, painting organising new carpets and blinds as well as trying to get the garden back to life. The sprinkler system had been turned off and the lawn was dead!

I just got it all organised and it was Christmas. I got our furniture out of storage only to find we got something extra - Termites! Dont get me started on that subject we are still waiting to hear from the company about compensation!

Dave flew back on the 23rd December, Bec had invited us around to her place for Christmas lunch - it was beautiful, a huge turkey and heaps of salads. She did a wonderful job.

I had a very quiet New Year's, just stayed home and watched movies - Dave had already returned to work.

We put the house on the market at the end of January, but there has been no interest in it whatsoever so it looks like we will be renting it out again.

February, we had our tickets for AC/DC's Brisbane concert - we brought them while in Darwin.
But as Dave had changed jobs he couldn't get time off. It was Bec's 23rd Birthday the day before the concert so I asked her if she would like to come - of course the answer was yes! We had the best time, it was the best concert we had ever been to! Then we spent the next 4 days on the gold Coast - we had a ball, the weather was lousy though rain and wind, we even had a Tsunami warning!

Dave flew back to Perth the same day we did for his week off, as it turns out AC/DC were playing in Perth that weekend & we heard on the radio that they were releasing some more tickets. We were very lucky and ended up with 2 tickets so Dave got to see them & I got to go see them twice, though I have to admit the Brisbane concert was better.

Dave has only got 1 more swing left before he finishes up at Kalgoorlie/Kambalda and then we will be flying to Sydney for a few days before catching our Cruise:) 11 Nights To Vanuatu, we can't wait for that. We have never been on a cruise before or out of the country.

We are unsure what we will be doing after we come back from the cruise - but that is half the fun:) We will decide when we get back!

Well I have filled you all in on what we are up too. I will try not to wait so long next time.
Happy Travels
