Ayers Rock To Mt Isa

Hello Again,
We arrived at Yalara about 4pm after checking out the Olga's lookout:

Nearly as big as a coach in the C/Park

Ayers Rock off in the distance

We drove into Yalara and got our site:






Then out to the Rock for the Sunset photo's:

The next morning we got up early & were out at the rock by 7am. We were the first ones there - no-one else at all. We waited & nobody else came & as the gate was open Dave set off climbing Ayers Rock!
Yes I chickened out again as I did 6 years ago when he climbed it last!

First to the top on Monday May 7th 2012

He conquered "The Rock" Again!!!!!!!!!

Then it was time to head off towards Alice Springs. We spent 2nights in Alice so we could have a day off  - so no photo's :(

We headed off first thing on Thursday morning & called into see "Devils Marbles";

We moved on & after a quick stop at the "Three Ways Roadhouse" - We missed seeing our friends "The Retro Roamers" by 24 hours - Buggar! Then we stayed at Free Camp 6 - Frewena Rest Area.

It had a beautiful Windmill!

On Friday we crossed the border into QLD!

Our Van is back in QLD!

Then it was onto Mt Isa for a couple of days to catch up with fellow Spinifex Owners - Lyall & Trish.

We set up our van & went over to have a drink with them, when would you believe another Spinifex Van drove straight past us! Amazing only 60 odd on the road & 3 where at Mt Isa on the same day!

We introduced ourselves, they were Tom & Carol. We all agreed this opportunity needed a photo!
