Maiden Towing Trip with New Cruiser

Cruisers maiden voyage with our van.
Hi Everyone,

With 2 weeks before we leave Kalgoorlie, we had a Party invitation to a friends 50th just outside of Toodyay (about a 6 hour drive) - so we though perfect opportunity to take the van as we hadn't towed with the new Cruiser yet!
Well everything worked perfectly :) Dave was really impressed with the power of the new car. But of course after confirming we do have the Power it was time to back off a little to save the fuel :(

We free caamped the first night just outside of Kal at Boondie Rock:

Then we headed off the next morning after a lovely cooked breakfast :)

We came across a few wide loads too:

We got to the party about 4pm - it started at 5 so plenty of time to set up:

Ha - didnt have to do much, just level out with the airbags! :)
The party was on a property in a shed. Anna had chosen an anything 60's theme for the occassion
Everyone really looked great:

Bob Marley - AKA Squid!
Dave, me & Scooby AKA Bob!

Margie & Ray
Hippy & The Mad Hatter

Dave & Bob
Every man's dream Bar in the shed!
Scooby & Cruella - Bob & Birthday Girl Anna.
It was a really good night, we retired to our van about 11pm after quite a few Bundy's :) But the rest partied on until 2am!

We were treated to a lovely BBQ breakfast before we headed off the next morning.

We spent Sunday night at another free camp - Karalee Rock, which was pretty good. Heaps of vans in there.

Now we are back in Kalgoorlie with 11 days until we leave - Yeh!!!!!!!!!
We head off on Saturday 5th May heading up to Leonora than across the Great Central towards Ularu - Weather permitting of course - otherwise it is across the Nullabor.

We will keep you all updated as things progress,
Cheers & Happy Travels

I have made curtains for the baby's nursery as well as a full set of curtains for the caravan! Didn't like the other ones much.

Happy Easter

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

We have been extremely busy over the last couple of weeks.

Firstly I finished up at work where I have worked for the last 8 months, great place to work & wonderful people to work with. We had a lovely farewell party afternoon - Cocktails :)

I got some great prezzies!

So now I am officially retired ( at least for a while) but the partying hasn't yet stopped as this weekend being Easter there was more fun to be had :)

There was a Sausage sizzle lunch here at our Caravan Park (Discovery Holiday Park Kalgoorlie) which was very popular:

It was a gold coin donation which all went to the Starlight Foundation - very good cause!

Then last night we had a wonderful Pizza night at our neighbours place with all their family:

A Great Family Night

So it has been a busy few weeks but it isn't going to slow down much over the next few weeks for us as tomorrow I leave here for a week in Mandurah to visit Bec & Teigan.
Bec is also having her Baby Shower early so I can attend :) She is 26 weeks now!

Then when I get back it will be full on as we leave Kalgoorlie on May 5th!

I have already washed & pulled down our annexe - after 8 months it was pretty grubby!:

Luckily the weather was good - so it all dried quickly!

We will just have our shade walls for the next 4 weeks.

Weather permitting we will be heading up to Leonora then across "The OutBack Way" through to Ullaru - Dave would like to climb it again!
Then up to Mt Isa to visit friends, then down to Brisbane to the Spinifex Factory to have some Mods fitted to our van.

Now for the really BIG NEWS - We are going Back to America for another 3 Months-YEAH!!!!!!!!!

We are very excited, we had some plans fall through that left us 3 months between work commitments & we thought why not - you only live once right!

So we fly out on May 27th. We hope you will all follow our journey again - We have just clocked up 10,000 views on our Blog - WOW! That's pretty amazing.

Well until our next update - Bye & Happy Travels
